In 1975 a good friend Guy Bolte sold me a 1967 SS 396 Chevelle for $60. Well it was not running. In fact Guy had sold the motor and I received the rest. It was beautiful blue with a white vinyl top, white interior with white bucket seats, m21 4 speed transmission with a Hurst vgate shifter and a 12 bold 4:11 limited slip differential.

What a Shame!! I bought it for the m21 transmission.

Bob Keller approached me about selling the Chevelle so he could build a stock car to race. I sold him the car on the condition that I would have the transmission with shifter, the white bucket seats and the 12 bolt posi differential. Bob Keller towed the car away and said he would have the parts requested in a few days. What seemed like months of contacting him he told me if I wanted the parts get them myself. Jerk!! I went to get my parts and Bob Keller had remove the seats and differential and I was told he sold them. The 4 speed and shifter were still intact and I had to remove it myself. I wonder why I trust people to keep their word.

I look back and think of the issues I had with Bob Keller I should have not sold him the car. Think what it would be worth if I had it today! It was stripped for a stock car and destroyed. What a shame!!
