90 Sonata

1992 Hyundai Sonata GLS

Interesting car!! I had no use for another car. I friend came by and asked if I would like to buy the car and I said “NO”!! I ended up trading with him several used network cards and several hard drives for his car.

The car was missing the head. The timing belt had broken and bent the valves so he took the head to the shop and on the way it fell out of the back if his pickup and was never recovered!

SO!!! I bought a rebuilt head, timing belt and gaskets and put it together. It ran very well other than it needed a new muffler. I would guess I had $400 in repairs plus $400 in computer parts traded and $40 in title registration.

Rygg Ford gave me $2000 for the Sonata for trade on a used $3000 1991 Subaru Loyale 4×4 which I had to repair cam seals and replace the clutch.
