{"id":413,"date":"2024-10-07T17:36:06","date_gmt":"2024-10-07T17:36:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cars.4hal.com\/?page_id=413"},"modified":"2024-10-28T13:53:56","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T13:53:56","slug":"57-chevy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cars.4hal.com\/index.php\/57-chevy\/","title":{"rendered":"57 Chevy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignfull is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:3%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<p>In 1971 I traded my <a href=\"https:\/\/cars.4hal.com\/index.php\/55chevy\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2\">55 Chevy<\/a> for a 57 Chevy and I believe there was less body work to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I kept the motor and transmission from the 55 Chevy and put it in the 57 Chevy. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyinterlake.com\/news\/2013\/may\/06\/mike-kao-58-6\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dailyinterlake.com\/news\/2013\/may\/06\/mike-kao-58-6\/\">Mike Kao<\/a> had just put new front end and brakes all around so the suspension was an even trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My first <a href=\"https:\/\/cars.4hal.com\/index.php\/1967-camaro\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"400\">67 Camaro <\/a>came with a full synchro 3 speed and I found a floor shifter so I had a 3 speed on the floor and not on the steering column. I shakeled up the back and slipped the tires from my Camaro for the picture. It was a good looking 57 Chevy. I got the spray gun out and painted it a dark blue metallic. I was still drawn to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cars.4hal.com\/index.php\/1967-camaro\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"400\">67 Camaro<\/a> so I put the 57 Chevy up for sale.
